My Story
Maryland-born, Brooklyn-based Multi-hyphenate Designer, Jachuku Howard uses the influences of the past and the present to create a better future. His design language takes influences from 90’s Haute couture fashion as an engine to explore his love for Afro-Futurism, Geometry, Anime, and his day-to-day life.
Jachuku is a designer who strives to elevate classic silhouettes by incorporating dynamic cuts and textures. His goal is to challenge the norm and redefine what it means to be a designer. Jachuku enjoys using unconventional materials and experimenting with new technology, such as AR, to convey his message in a fun and authentic way.
Jachuku attended Marymount University and Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, Italy where he studied pattern making, garment construction, and fashion illustration. After returning from Europe, Jachuku appeared in Beyonce's "Black is King" and gained recognition as a model. He then launched his brand, Bandit Studioz, in conjunction with the film's release.
Since then, Bandit has been featured in numerous publications, including Vogue, Highsnobiety, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, and GUAP Magazine. Jachuku has collaborated with brands such as Converse, Hood By Air, Russell Athletics, Champion, and Triple 5 Soul
